Durham Womens Center

Absolutely loved my experience with Durham Women’s Center. I found out I was pregnant at almost 19 weeks and after numerous attempts to be seen by other OBGYN offices, I was told I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment for weeks. Needless to say, that was unacceptable being that far along without any prenatal care. When I called Durham for the first time, I spoke with Diane and after hearing my situation she went above and beyond to get me seen within 2 days, including having my blood work done prior to being seen. From that moment, I felt so relieved knowing my baby and I were going to receive top notch care from an office who truly cares. I am happy to say, I delivered a healthy baby girl without any issue thanks to Durham Women’s Center. I will be a patient for life!

The office staff was friendly. However the doctor had no bedside manners. Doctors and healthcare professionals have an ethical and moral obligation to treat all their patients. Jamie was concerned for herself, she continuously expressed how uncomfortable she was. This was the "JAMIE SHOW" It was all about Jamie's feelings. Not once were my feelings considered. The office was fully aware of my situation willing to accommodate. I left work early for my appointment. I was allowed to check in and get my BP and weight taken. They asked me to wait for the Doc and to gown up. When the Dr walked in, she looked at me with disgust. She refused to the examination. I was humiliated. This is a woman center a place where we should feel safe where we expect support and sensitivity to our concerns and issues. Jamie was selfish and unprofessional. This was discrimination not to examine a patient who suffers from a condition that causes PTSD. I left the office feeling emotional and in disbelief they have no empathy.

If I could give the staff 0 stars I would. For starters, they don’t have electronic documents. They send you an attachment that you have to print out and bring with you. I made my appointment 3 months in advance, and no where in their policy or in any follow up calls/reminders did they state that you could NOT bring children in the waiting room. Needless to say I brought my child with me to my appointment and they REFUSED to see me. They did not even TRY to accommodate the inconvenience of not communicating this information. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible service. Go elsewhere if you can.

Special thanks to the amazing dream team at women's durham center. I am forever grateful for the compassionate care and support I have recieved with my pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Beim, you are an incredible physician and I appreciate all the time you took to help me throughout my pregnancy journey. You always put my worries at ease even during the tough times! Thank you so very much! I highly recommend this practice, it is hard to find a team that goes above and beyond for their patients!

Wonderful staff, wonderful group! I was pregnant for a 1st time and was very pleased how the staff was so nice and friendly. During my check ups I met all the doctors from the group, since they are on call at dinner times. I loved that, it made me feel more comfortable to get ready for the day. Dr. Beim was the one who delivered my baby. I have not expected better experience. He was extremely patient, careful, has great bed side matter. I would definitely recommend this group to anyone without a doubt!!
